The goal of the HU CFAR is to be as inclusive as possible for investigators engaged in HIV-related research activities. Investigators identified as NIH-funded researchers, other funded AIDS researchers at Harvard Medical School, as well as AIDS clinicians at the participating institutions were invited to participate in the new HU CFAR as members. To foster synergy, improve coordination of research efforts, and support emerging research opportunities, decision-making processes will honor the disciplinary, geographic, and institutional diversity of the CFAR membership. The diversity of the CFAR membership will be represented in leadership positions and decision-making bodies. CFAR members are invited to participate in the Scientific Programs, and are offered the services and trainings of the Basic and Clinical Science Cores.
